WELCOME TO FORECASTS OF AIDS/HIV

The forecasts in this document are based on the excellent data provided by the Health Protection Agency Centre for Infections and Health Protection Scotland. Quarterly projections of AIDS/HIV are made each time that new HPA data become available. Forecasts below cover the period from end-1999 to end-March 2007.
The Health Protection Authority changed the format of its Quarterly Surveillance Report for end-June 2006 to provide detailed information on HIV in the UK. Consequently, all the later projections are for ctegories of HIV, except for the overall total figures for AIDS.
Full forecasts will be given as at the end of December each year; summaries only will be given for the intermediate quarters.
The author of these reports is now almost 83 years old, so is not likely to continue indefinitely to forecast AIDS/HIV and vCJD. If there is a keen younger person who would like to receive programs & information to enable him/her to forecast in parallel with the author and eventually take over, please contact Edwardhfd@aol.com.
